Private roundtable
Tuesday 30 September 2025, 10:00-11:00

techUK is partnering with RELX to host a private roundtable discussion on the future of artificial intelligence in the UK. The session will bring together policymakers, industry leaders and experts to explore how the UK can accelerate the development and deployment of trustworthy AI tools. Against the backdrop of continued global investment in AI, and recent UK policy developments such as the AI Opportunities Action Plan and successive AI Safety Summits, the discussion will examine whether the UK has the right ecosystem in place to lead in this space. Topics will include the investment landscape, the availability of AI talent, and how to support public and private sector organisations to confidently adopt and scale new technologies.

The Digital Future: How can the UK drive digital adoption to build an inclusive economy? | techUK and Visa
Private roundtable
Tuesday 30 September 2025, 11:30-12:30

techUK is partnering with Visa to host a private roundtable discussion on how digital adoption can support businesses of all sizes and drive inclusive economic growth. As the cost of doing business in the UK continues to rise, small and medium-sized enterprises are increasingly turning to digital tools to boost efficiency and remain competitive. At the same time, Labour has set out a clear ambition to deliver economic growth across the UK. This session will bring together policymakers, industry leaders and business voices to explore whether the UK has the right structures in place to support digital uptake across the economy. It will also consider what further action is needed to help non-digitally native firms unlock the productivity and growth benefits that come with embracing new technologies.

Technology Reception at Labour Party Conference | Drinks reception hosted by techUK & The Social Market Foundation
Tuesday 30 September 2025, 18:30-20:00

techUK is partnering with The Social Market Foundation to host a reception for the tech sector. To register, please see here.

Conservative Party Conference

Supercharging Productivity: Harnessing technology in UK business | techUK and PwC
Private dinner
Sunday 5 October 2025

techUK will be partnering with PwC to host a private dinner focused on how technology - and AI in particular - can help drive productivity across the UK economy. Building on recent cross-party momentum around AI, including the publication of the AI Opportunities Action Plan and the shared emphasis on tech-led growth during the General Election, the session will consider the role of a future Conservative Government in supporting innovation, boosting business uptake, and addressing the economic challenges currently faced by UK firms. The discussion will bring together Conservative Party policymakers, industry voices and Parliamentarians to explore how the next phase of digital adoption can support businesses of all sizes, including SMEs and high-growth firms.

Liberal Democrat

How can we better support businesses across the UK to realise the benefits of digital adoption? | techUK and the Digital Lib Dems
Private roundtable
Monday 22 September, 13:00-14:00

techUK is partnering with the Digital Lib Dems group to host a roundtable on how businesses can better be supported on their digital adoption journey, and to reap the benefits of digital solutions in their organisation. Technology adoption presents a significant opportunity for businesses across the whole of the UK, helping them to improve on their productivity and better connecting them to customers and consumers. For SMEs in particular, digital tools such as AI solutions and better automation can help them to streamline operations, reduce costs and scale their business. However, in the UK there continues to be barriers to greater technology use – such as due to adoption costs or digital skills. This conversation, held at the Liberal Democrat Autumn Conference, will bring together policymakers alongside technology companies to consider what the biggest barriers to technology use are, and how the Government can look to better support SMEs in realising the opportunities that digital solutions can present to their business.

If you are attending the Liberal Democrat Conference, and would like to attend this roundtable, please do email [email protected]. Spaces are limited and will be considered on a first-come-first-served basis.
