techUK is pleased to invite members to attend our defence delegation to Berlin for Bitkom’s DefTech Day and to Brussels from Monday 5 to Thursday 8 of October.

The delegation is a fantastic opportunity for defence tech companies, especially startups and scaleups, to engage directly with policymakers in Germany and Belgium, including EU and NATO representatives. It also aims to help cultivate commercial opportunities and build relationships with other DefTech companies and stakeholders. The visit will:

  • Include Bitkom’s DefTech Day at the Bundeswehr's Cyber Innovation Hub in Berlin, where topics such as software-defined defence, unmanned systems, artificial intelligence and dual-use technologies are of particular focus.
  • Offer insight into commercial opportunities and public procurement channels in Germany and Belgium
  • Facilitate B2B networking with innovative DefTech companies and ecosystems.
  • Support UK tech businesses in better understanding the Defence policy landscape and identifying new business and collaboration opportunities.

A more exact itinerary will be published nearer the date. You can find a summary of last year’s delegation on our website.

This delegation is open to all techUK member companies and is particularly suited for:

  • C-level executives (CEOs, Founders, Managing Directors)
  • Heads of sales and business development
  • Heads of policy
  • Companies with an existing presence in the EU or concrete plans to expand into the market
