techUK’s National Security Week 2024 #NatSec2024

The National Security team are delighted to be hosting our annual National Security Week between Monday, 22 January 2024, and Friday, 26 January 2024.

This year’s submission will centre around the Strategic Priorities of the techUK National Security Committee, which was set up in March 2023. This week, we’ll explore some key themes around how the UK can strengthen national security through technology, what the current threat landscape looks like, and what future threats we could envisage.

Ardi Janjeva, Research Associate, at The Alan Turing Institute, shared their insights on the threat intelligence landscape as part of our National Security Campaign Week 2024. ⭐

National security policy in the UK

Supply-chain security and risk

Looking ahead in national security

James Patrick, Solutions Architect at Zaizi, spotlights a rising threat — the growing menace of supply chain attacks. Sophisticated strikes through trusted channels can endanger vital systems, but he argues that increased collaboration is vital to securing sensitive infrastructure against complex dangers.

“Securing our technology and the underlying supply chains requires a multifaceted, collaborative approach. This is crucial for protecting sensitive government data and operations,” says James.

Through a variety of market engagement and policy activities, it assesses the capability of these technologies against various national security threats, developing thought-leadership on topics such as procurement, innovation, diversity and skills.
