The UK Government has launched a Call for Evidence to inform its forthcoming 10-Year Workforce Plan for the NHS, aiming to build a sustainable, skilled, and digitally enabled workforce capable of meeting future health and care demands.

The plan seeks evidence on how services and workforce models should evolve over the next decade, focusing on three major shifts:

  • From hospital to community care
  • From analogue to digital services
  • From sickness to prevention.

With technology and innovation playing a central role in achieving these ambitions, techUK is convening a member input session to gather evidence, insights, and examples from across the tech sector to help shape our collective response.

This session will:

  • Brief members on the government’s call for evidence and its key themes
  • Identify practical examples, barriers, and enablers from member organisations
  • Develop a coordinated, evidence-based techUK submission representing the voice of the technology industry

Following the discussion, techUK will circulate a draft response to all participants for review and feedback. A final version will then be shared for final feedback before submission to the government ahead of the 7 November 2025 deadline.

By attending, members will have the opportunity to contribute directly to shaping national workforce planning discussions, ensuring that digital transformation, innovation, and technology skills are fully recognised within the NHS’s long-term strategy.
