Join us on Wednesday, 22 April for techUK’s Tech Nature Summit 2026, bringing together tech firms, wider industry, civil society and policymakers to discuss important aspects of the interrelation between nature and technology.

We plan to explore how digital innovation can accelerate nature recovery and biodiversity protection through the lens of emerging domestic policy, evolving reporting requirements, and global trends and agreements, as well as looking at barriers in the nature finance landscape and advances in nature‑positive technologies.

As part of the Summit, we will also be integrating our popular Nature and Biodiversity Showcase, during which members, partners and experts are invited to give a 10-minute presentation showcasing solutions in areas such as conservation, restoration, monitoring, and how tech can help meet our nature goals.

Please see below for more information, and sign up via the booking link to the right. If you are interested in taking part in the event as a speaker or showcasing your technology, please get in touch with [email protected].

Proposed themes

Provisionally, the Summit will cover:

Domestic policy and regulation on nature and biodiversity

Lens on the domestic policy and regulatory landscape, unpacking both why and how nature-related requirements are rapidly evolving. Speakers will explore what this means for the tech sector specifically, practical considerations for business, and opportunities to stay ahead of the curve, prepare for upcoming obligations, scrutiny from regulators, investors, and supply chain partners.

Financing the nature-positive economy: barriers to growth and adoption of nature tech

The shift toward nature as a requirement from government and key consideration for investors is equally creating opportunities for businesses. A panel of experts will look at how the private sector in the UK is pushing this ecosystem forward and make recommendations for policymakers on how to remove barriers to making nature tech solutions mainstream.

AI for nature: using data effectively

A conversational deep dive into how AI is transforming our ability to observe, understand, and restore natural systems. Exploring real-world deployments — from geospatial mapping to biodiversity monitoring — while addressing bottlenecks such as data quality, interoperability, compute, and skills. Speakers will discuss how to responsibly integrate AI into decision-making across supply chains, land use, and environmental monitoring.

The global nature and climate policy landscape: what comes next?

Nature does not adhere to national borders. As such, this panel will explore how international policy and geopolitics are shaping nature considerations. What are the key international agreements shaping global nature policy, and what is the UK's role in deciding its direction?
