Report: Tech Towards Net Zero
techUK is excited to publish our ‘Tech Towards Net Zero’ guidance paper which launched at the Tech and Net Zero Conference on 22 October.
This paper is here to help members understand what they can do to cut emissions and set what is called a ‘Transition Plan’, which is a series of steps organisations can take to reach net zero. This is something firms are being asked to do more and more, and is probably going to be mandatory (at least for larger firms) in the coming years.
The report is long as we have divided it up into chapters. The chapters are aimed at different sections of the diverse ‘tech sector’ and includes steps data centres can take, telecoms, systems integrators and software developers. Some of it is repetitive as some things (like accelerating renewable energy purchasing) are applicable to everyone. We also conclude with a chapter on interdependencies which are the systems wide things that need to happen.

We really hope you find it useful and happy to receive feedback or take members through some of the steps in more detail.
