Launch of the Health & Social Care SME Forum

techUK will launch the Health & Social Care SME Forum, giving businesses working across the health and care sectors the opportunity to further their development within the sector, connect with peers and potential collaborators, and provide opportunities for engagement with key government and industry stakeholders.

Following the forum’s launch, we will host a series of sessions throughout 2023 and 2024. These will include SME networking sessions, focussing on different problems facing the sector, as well as opportunities to meet with Government and industry stakeholders working to improve the market for SMEs.

We welcome any SMEs with an interest in health or social care to join the group and encourage suggestions for topics and themes.

The event will kick-off with a panel event, with speakers from SME members of techUK's Health & Social Care Council:

Digital Innovation in the Life Sciences Industry

techUK has launched a Life Sciences workstream, bringing together members actively working in drug discovery, digital therapeutics, data and AI, or those interested in moving into this space. As the Life Sciences sector looks to introduce digital health technologies into its portfolio, techUK are shaping the conversation.


Interoperability Working Group

The Interoperability Working Group will work towards achieving the vision set out in NHS England’s 2022 draft standards and interoperability strategy. The group will aim to encourage the adoption of open standards and fluidity of data whilst recognising the commercial needs of members. It will also focus on demonstrating the value of interoperability to NHS senior management and improving the abilities of SMEs to implement interoperability standards.
