Security and Public Safety SME Forum Chair Elections - Expression of Interest

Following launch of the Security and Public Safety SME Forum earlier this year, we are excited to open the re-election for the Chair of the group.

The forum operates within the National Security and Justice and Emergency Services sectors with a platform to advance their growth, connect with peers and potential collaborators and engage with key government and industry stakeholders.

Following thought provoking sessions and a successful partnering and networking event, we welcome SME techUK members who operate in the public safety and security sector to put themselves forward.

The Chair will contribute to the strategic planning of the forum by proposing topics for discussion at a series of techUK events which will host insightful discussions,  industry experts and stakeholders, as we strive to tackle the shared challenges that SMEs experience in the sectors.

As Chair, you will be co-running the Forum with the Vice-Chair Tim Evans, Senior Account Executive - EMEA Public Sector, Dataminr.

'Being elected as the Vice-Chair for the Tech UK Security and Public Safety SME Forum has allowed me to use my experience to help address the challenges and opportunities faced by SMEs in this space. There is more to do and this is a great time to join our committee to help shape the future for the benefit of all our members and the UK as a whole.'

The deadline to do so is 24 October and voting will open 29 October.

You can see the timeline for the elections set out below:

  • 13 October - Nominations open
  • 24 October - Nominations close at 17:00
