The UK built environment is responsible for approximately 25% of total UK greenhouse gas emissions. To reach net zero by 2050, we need solutions and innovations that increase the use of renewable energy and improve energy efficiency within these spaces.

With funding from the UK Government Digital Growth Grant, CodeBase has partnered with Eagle Labs to create Sustainability Bridge; a programme which ‘bridges’ the gap between startups and corporates in the built environment to accelerate the speed of adoption of new technologies in the sector. Sustainability Bridge brings together industry incumbents including energy companies, facilities management companies, and social housing providers, with innovative startups working in a diverse range of technologies, from those working in virtual modelling and simulation e.g. MortarOI and Kamma, hardware producers e.g. Isentra, carbon management tools e.g. Climakt.

Through highly interactive, expert-led monthly meetups delivered by leaders with experience both inside and outside the sector, participants learn from each other and are exposed to technology playbooks they can use to accelerate their growth. By bringing startups and industry incumbents together in the room at the same time for education and discussion, the programme aims to deepen understanding of the pathways for collaboration and ultimately accelerate the rate of adoption of new sustainable technologies in the built environment.

The programme will conclude with a showcase day in London in March. Follow Eagle Labs and CodeBase on Linkedin to be the first to hear about opportunities to join our next cohort! Get in touch with [email protected] to find out more about our programmes.
