About the event:
The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) warmly welcomes you to attend the first UK-hosted International Telecoms Conference, as part of the 10th London Tech Week. The conference will provide a unique opportunity for international government stakeholders, regulators, and industry players to convene and collaborate in person to:
- examine the key foundations for a secure and resilient global telecoms supply market;
- explore how governments, regulators and industry can work together to tackle shared risks and challenges, such as telecoms security;
- share international approaches to open and interoperable networks; and
- determine how we can use these learnings to shape next generation networks, including 6G.

Sophie Greaves
Sophie Greaves is Associate Director for Digital Infrastructure at techUK, overseeing the Communications Infrastructure and Services Programme at techUK, and the UK Spectrum Policy Forum.
Sophie was promoted to Head having been Programme Manager for Communications Infrastructure and Services, leading techUK's telecoms activities, engagement and policy development. Previously, Sophie was Programme Assistant across a variety of areas including the Broadband Stakeholder Group, Central Government, Financial Services and Communications Infrastructure programmes.
Prior to joining techUK, Sophie completed a masters in Film Studies at University College London; her dissertation examined US telecoms policy relating to net neutrality and content distribution.

Alex supports the development of the techUK marketing strategy, identifying and driving key campaigns across the techUK community that build our credibility, increase our influence, and provide thought leadership on the future impact of tech innovation across society, the economy, and the planet.
Prior to joining techUK Alex was Head of Marketing at UK Finance, the trade association for the banking and finance industry, where he led a team focused on commercial marketing strategies. Before that he was Head of Marketing at Payments UK supporting the payments industry to deliver world leading innovation.
