On 10 November techUK is hosting a virtual workshop with the Office for AI and the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation (CDEI) to understand industry perspectives on the future of AI governance and regulation in the UK. This session will feed into the development of Government’s AI Governance White Paper, which was recently announced in the UK National AI Strategy and set to be published early next year.
The session will be introduced by Sana Khareghani, Head of the Office for AI, who will provide an overview of the policy context and set out the process for the creation of the White Paper. This will be followed by an open discussion on AI governance, including how the current governance regime is working, and where members would like to see changes in the future.
