Session overview
MHCLG has begun collecting data from local authority private rented sector teams on their enforcement activity. MHCLG has so far run five rounds of voluntary data collections, and the department expects the collection to become mandatory from April 2027.
Collecting good data on local authority enforcement activity will enable MHCLG to improve its understanding of the sector and help the department to evaluate the impact of the Renters' Rights Act.
Working with techUK, MHCLG's team would like to engage IT organisations who provide LA PRS teams with data management software, bringing together software companies and local authorities in this online workshop.
