On Thursday 02 May the UK Spectrum Policy Forum will be hosting its second Plenary Meeting of 2024.

After a successful open summit in the beginning of the year, the May Plenary will feature policy makers and the wider spectrum user community to catch up on relevant debates and the implications of recent developments to the UK landscape and beyond.

Why attend the UK SPF Plenary?

Since the Future Spectrum Policy Summit, Ofcom and DSIT have launched spectrum sandboxes and consultations aiming at increasing sharing technologies across use cases. Focusing on improving capabilities, discussions for the upcoming plenary will address the relevant advances inspectrum policy and upcoming technologies in telecommunications, to understand the growing role of spectrum in advancing sustainability goals. We will also explore how future spectrum policy can work as a driver of sustainable development, tackling climate change.

These pressing topics require a plural view from industry, policymakers, and stakeholders. As covergence between terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks becomes ever more ubiquitous, debates about the future spectrum policy demand a global perspective to galvanize the necessary insights for effective solutions. That is why we are building our agenda around the voices that lead on those debates and will be able to shed a light on the way ahead.

In addition to the above, we will also hear from the UK SPF Steering Board Chair and Cluster Chairs.
