techUK is pleased to invite members to join techUK’s Delegation to Germany – coinciding with GITEX AI – taking place from 29 June – 2 July 2026. 

GITEX Europe is Europe’s largest tech, start-up and digital investment event. For companies looking to expand or establish operations in Germany, the event is a fantastic opportunity to find out more about the German tech ecosystem, make connections and generate leads.

The delegation will spend two days in Berlin and one day in Munich meeting with businesses, officials and ecosystem leaders relevant to your priorities. Companies part of the delegation will get introductions to potential partners and clients as part of the activity in Munich, and access to the GITEX Europe conference and exclusive events.

techUK will support companies navigate the conference to ensure they receive ROI from the trip and will support and facilitate introductions to companies at the festival.

The delegation will have a particular focus on the following areas:

  • Cyber
  • Defence and Security
  • Mobility
  • DeepTech – particularly AI and Quantum.

Who can apply

Participation is limited to one delegate per company to ensure a high-quality and focused delegation. 

The delegation is open to: 

  • techUK member companies
  • Non-member companies that meet the eligibility criteria below.

Eligible participants should be: 

  • Representatives of technology companies with a clear interest in, or active expansion plans for, the German market. 
  • Senior management role in the organisation.

Cost and Practical Information 

  • £150 per delegate for techUK members 
  • £300 per delegate for eligible non-member companies 

This contribution supports techUK’s ability to deliver a high-quality delegation experience and helps us continue to offer similar international opportunities to members. 

Delegates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs. techUK will manage the delegation programme, engagement opportunities and logistics throughout the visit. 

Registration deadline

The deadline to register is Friday 29 May, close of business (COB). 

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to eligibility.

Head of SME Engagement, techUK

Ed is Head of SME Engagement and is responsible for shaping techUK’s proposition to our SMEs across the country, ensuring our policy work, market access activity and services benefit the SME community.

Prior to working at techUK, Ed worked in the at the Department for International Trade, engaging with a variety of businesses, particularly SMEs, to understand the benefits of Free Trade Agreements and act as case studies in press and social media. Ed has also worked in policy and public affairs within the voluntary sector, namely the Alzheimer’s Society and the Men’s Health Forum.

Ed holds a MA in International Relations from Leiden University, and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his son, travelling, and visiting historical sites.

Programme Manager, SME Engagement and Nations & Regions, techUK

Stephanie is the Programme Manager for SME Engagement and Nations & Regions at techUK.

Working across the two programmes, Stephanie develops activities to support the growth and development of tech SMEs and engages with members and stakeholders more broadly to help strengthen regional tech economies.

Prior to joining techUK, Stephanie worked for a political events company and as a Senior Caseworker for an MP. She holds an MA (HONS) in Politics from the University of Glasgow.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys travelling, climbing and playing squash.
