To meet its net zero targets, sustainability has to be woven into many parts of public sector, including procurement. This techUK roundtable will bring together industry and public sector to look at how the public sector can procure new digital technologies that are sustainable and how to elevate the sustainability in procurements. Despite centres of excellence and more focus in some procurement exercises, it is still not the default in most cases.
This session will explore:
-
What do we mean by ‘sustainable tech’? Low carbon suppliers, refurbished devices, energy efficient software?
-
How is sustainability evaluated by commercial teams across the public sector?
-
What are the barriers to better sustainability in procurement?
-
How can GDSA and other cross-government collaboration help?
Spaces are limited so please express interest in attending below and while spaces will be allocated to the first registrants, we do want a diverse mix of businesses with spaces reserved for members of our SME community.
