It has been a momentous last twelve months for UK-India tech and trade collaboration. Firstly, in June 2024, the UK and India signed the Tech and Security Initiative, which promises collaboration across five technologies and two technology-adjacent areas. In May 2025, the UK and India agreed to a comprehensive FTA after three years of negotiations.

This roundtable is an opportunity to discuss the upcoming techUK & Confederation of Indian Industry joint paper on the TSI, titled ‘Securing the Future: Deepening the UK-India Tech and Security Cooperation’ as well as the next steps for UK-India tech and trade collaboration across the five core themes in the report: incentivising innovation, promoting trade, nurturing talent, jumpstarting collaboration, and tracking progress.

Ideal for C-Suite / Senior Policy Representatives from UK and Indian tech companies, the roundtable will discuss strategies for co-developing resilient and secure technologies, establishing trusted supplier networks, and aligning policy frameworks to foster innovation and address shared challenges in the digital age.

This session will be co-chaired by techUK CEO Julian David OBE, and John Renard, President of Cyient Europe, on behalf of CII, and will involve senior government stakeholders from the UK Government, the Indian High Commission, and the Indian Government.

Strictly only one person per company able to attend in-person.
