Home Office Research, Development and Innovation strategy: one year on

One year on from the launch of the Home Office’s Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Strategy, this session will highlight the progress made in putting RDI at the centre of the Department’s policy and operational work.

The talk will provide an update on how RDI is supporting key national security, border security and public safety priorities, including real‑world examples of successful research and technology interventions over the past year.

Attendees will hear how the Home Office is strengthening its scientific and analytical capability, improving the way it evaluates research impact and reforming the governance of research, development and innovation across the Department.

The session will also outline next steps for Strategy implementation, including workforce capability, evidence culture and new opportunities for industry engagement.

techUK members will gain insight into where the Home Office sees the greatest opportunities for partnership across research, technology, data and innovation to support national security and public safety outcomes.
