Every December, techUK’s Local Public Services Programme holds it’s annual future gazing event which is an opportunity to reflect and celebrate the achievements of digital local government of the past year. What a year it has been for local government and their tech partners.
This year we have seen a tremendous effort from local governments with their partners across the country tirelessly working to respond to COVID-19 and mitigate its impact on its communities. Everything from coordinating volunteers to tackling loneliness and supporting the vulnerable during social isolation and supporting teams for mass remote working. The pandemic has also been a catalyst of digital change for many councils and accelerated new ways of working, not just for the council but how organisations work together across the place to deliver improved outcomes for citizens.
Join us as we once again put the spotlight on local government tech innovations, reflect on the digital trends and make our predictions for 2021. Here were the predictions for 2020.
