techUK members are invited to join NHS Digital and NHSX for an Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) workshop delivered in partnership with us on Thursday 20 May from 11.30am - 1pm.

On 1 March 2021, NHS Digital, NHSX and techUK hosted an Interoperable Medicines Standards webinar, where their teams provided an update on the progress made so far and set out plans and priorities for the next phases of work (you can revisit the recording here). As part of that webinar, NHS Digital canvassed audience opinion on a range of subjects and set out the desire for you to support and contribute to future developments and functional enhancements. One area that was of particular interest was EPS. We are therefore hosting a follow-on workshop that will build on the content covered in the first event.

The session will provide a general overview of the EPS, how it currently works and the plans to expand both access and functionality. Following the general introduction, you will have the choice of joining your preferred virtual workshop, where you will have the opportunity to pose questions and challenge the team to provide greater understanding on the following themes:

Workshop 1 - implementation challenges - what you need to know and where challenges are likely to be encountered

Workshop 2 - technical development requirements for those looking to move forward with EPS.

We will then bring the group back together for feedback and discuss next steps (both workshops will be recorded and shared afterwards).

To book for the 20 May, please click here. Joining instructions will be sent via email approximately 48 hours before the event date.
