Join us on Thursday 21 November from 2:00 – 4:00 PM (Online Only) for a special Cluster 1 & Cluster 4 joint workshop focused on the evolving landscape of Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and their impact on spectrum management.

After the presentations, we will have a panel discussion with speakers and the audience.

The NTN Landscape

As satellites gain prominence in cellular communication technology—reflected in the 3GPP roadmap across Releases 16, 17, and 18—this event will explore how different satellite operators are taking different spectrum strategies to provide connectivity from the skies.

While some companies have decided that they will use terrestrial spectrum for their services, others are going ahead with MSS spectrum. But what are the regulatory implications?

A lot has happened in the satellite direct-to-device market since the last SPF workshop.

Join us as we explore the key use cases and systems driving spectrum demand in the first half of the workshop, followed by an in-depth look at the ongoing debates and discussions within the WRC-27 cycle, where critical spectrum allocations for these systems will be decided.
