Nominations now OPEN to join techUK’s Local Public Services Committee (LPSC) 2025-2027

techUK members can now nominate themselves for a position on the Local Public Services Committee.

Are you an industry leader in local government? We want to hear from YOU!

Nominations are now open for twenty techUK members to join our Local Public Services Committee (LPSC) for a tenure of two years (October 2025 – September 2027). The LPSC drives techUK’s work for delivering better local public service outcomes and working with councils and wider tech industry to create the environment that enables transformation to happen and innovation to flourish at the local level.

Over the last two years, the Committee has worked across four workstreams: Innovation, Procurement, Skills and Influence. A few key achievements of the committee include publishing the report Shaping the Future of the Local Government Workforce: Key Insights from techUK’s Skills Group Survey, and thought leadership pieces such as:

Representatives have also been involved in events such as:

The LPSC will continue to engage with stakeholders as part of our meetings, with the aim of one meeting each quarter to be held in person with a stakeholder. The primary role of the LPSC is to represent the tech sector at a high level to local government and all relevant bodies and sets the strategic direction of techUK’s Local Public Services programme, contributing to forward planning and ensuring the programme accurately reflects members’ and our council partners priorities.

We are also electing the positions of Chair and two Vice-Chairs of the Committee (one is reserved for an SME Vice Chair). Ten of the seats on the Committee are reserved for Small and Medium sized Enterprise (SME) representatives. You may nominate yourself for both Chair and Vice-Chair positions. If so, you will also nominate yourself for membership of the committee automatically.
