Developing digital infrastructure capabilities in Welsh rural communities

This session showcases the work done by our techUK members, Broadway Partners, to support the development of digital infrastructure capabilities in the Welsh rural communities.

Following from the launch of our second iteration of our Local Digital Capital Index which is a guide that describes the impact and value technology can bring to a region, showcasing its strengths and providing direction for development, we are hosting a series of panel discussions aimed at understanding different areas of the UK and the work being done to grow and strengthen the local tech ecosystems.

This session showcases the work done by our techUK members, Broadway Partners, to support the development of digital infrastructure capabilities in the Welsh rural communities. We spoke with Reece Simmons, Wales Manager at Broadway Partners and Damian, a Broadway Partners customer, to understand how they engage with communities and local authorities, the challenges they encountered and what are some of the lessons that other communities could apply.

Part of our Nations & Regions programme we work with local authorities, devolved government, and local and national policy makers to advocate for the tech sector in strengthening economic growth and resilience across the nations and regions, so please get in touch if they are topics you would like to address.
