techUK, in conjunction with wider trade bodies and DCMS, will be hosting a familiarisation session on the new telecoms security framework being established through the Telecommunications (Security) Bill. This will place legal requirements on all public electronic communications networks & services to increase overall network security.

This session will be tailored to providers who have not yet fully engaged with the new framework, containing information on the formation of the framework, updates on its progress and provide the opportunity to ask questions to the policy leads.

Topics that will be covered during this roundtable:

  • Summary of the security framework's background
  • Summary of how the framework is laid out
  • Technical details on the drafting of the SI and draft Code of Practice
  • Signposting of resources and points of contact
  • Q&A

techUK members are free to register using the link above. Non-members who are associated with ISPA, MobileUK, FCS, GSMA, UKCTA, or ITSPA will receive an invite code to enable booking. Please note our Event Terms and Privacy Policy. Please note, attendees' names, organisations and contact details will be shared with DCMS for future engagement and updates.
