Local government reorganisation (LGR) is changing the landscape of local government. LGR has a geographical impact but also a once in a generation opportunity to reimagine how services are delivered.
techUK will be convening key government and public sector stakeholders together with industry to explore the application of geospatial in determining geographies, mitigating risks into local government boundaries and the value unitaries can derive for the organisation, promote local democracy and to deliver places based services.
We are delighted that ONS, OS, Local Government Association, AGI, LGBCE have already confirmed their involvement and techUK is now inviting members to be part of the working group.
Terms of reference and the aims and objectives will be discussed at the first online meeting of the working group. This working group is open to public sector and geospatial providers.
