Join techUK and key speakers from across the UK’s nations and regions to discuss how we can develop ambitious digital strategies to support a strong economic recovery.

Over the past six months, techUK has embarked on the Building the Future We Need campaign, which consisted of seven Digital Dialogues across the nations and regions of the United Kingdom. Read more about techUK’s UK-wide and seven national and regional reports here.

This involved in depth discussions with more than 260 business and civic leaders, in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the North East, North West, West Midlands, and Yorkshire and Humberside regions of England.

Through these dialogues we heard about the real toll COVID-19 has taken on people, businesses and public services but also about the way in which technology has been put to work helping people adapt and reinvent and the optimism that this has created for an ambitious recovery.

From these discussions techUK has produced seven reports, one for each of the above nations and regions, as well as a summary report, set of policy recommendations, and call to action to ensure that we can meet the ambition and optimism of our participants.

Our online launch event will explore the findings of the reports and host a discussion on the next steps that need to be taken to ensure the growth of tech ecosystems across the UK by strengthening local digital capital in the UK’s nations and regions.

The event is free and is open to both members and non-members to attend.

Attendees will need to register through the techUK portal using the 'Book Now' button above. Please see our privacy policy here.

The event will be held over Zoom, joining details will be sent to registered attendees a few days prior to the event.
