19 May 2021 2pm – 3pm Meeting Online

This APPG for Broadband and Digital Communication webinar will focus the macro-economic impact of broadband and mobile connectivity in the UK. A recent estimate by the UK Government found that the combined economic impact of gigabit rollout and 5G could reach £462bn through to 2028, with evidence showing that they can play a strong role in not just boosting the UK’s economy as a whole but also our nations and regions.

The next generation of connectivity—gigabit broadband and 5G—will play a vital role in the tech-led economic recovery from the pandemic, as the benefits of digital technology and innovation will be needed to drive the increases in productivity and economic growth across the country.
