This year at London Tech Week, techUK returned with its online series #techUKTalks, a series of conversations with UK tech leaders exploring the key digital technologies that are transformational for the UK economy.
This techUK talks session explored Quantum Readiness in the UK: In conversation with Michael Cuthbert, National Quantum Computing Centre
You can watch the panel here:
techUK’s Sue Daley, techUK’s Director of Tech & Innovation joined Michael Cuthbert, Director of the UK’s National Quantum Computing Centre, to explore the continued role of the NQCC, established with a £93 million investment by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) as part of the UK’s National Quantum Technologies Programme (NQTP), in building the UK's Quantum Future
They discussed how to create a quantum ecosystem with the right skills, research and appetite for innovation that can develop world leading quantum products and services with UK R&D at the heart of innovation and enable the UK to remain internationally competitive.
This session is just one part of techUK’s year-long campaign on Quantum Commercialisation. In 2021, techUK will bring together the technology sector, key stakeholders, policy makers and the wider business community to discuss whether we have in place what is needed to drive forward the commercialisation of Quantum technologies; create a thriving Quantum market for new products and services; and support the development of a world leading Quantum industry.
