UK SPF Plenary round-up: January 2022

On 27 January 2022, the UK Spectrum Policy Forum held its first Plenary session of 2022. We were delighted to launch our latest report—The Future of Spectrum Sharing in the UK—with a presenation from Tony Lavender, Plum Consulting and Chair of UK SPF Cluster 3.

The keynote presentation was delivered by the new Chair of the Radio Spectrum Policy Group, Eric Fournier. The RSPG is the high-level advisory group that assists the European Commission in the development of radio spectrum policy.

Other presenters included Christian Regnier, who is founder at EUWENA (European Users Wireless Enterprise Network Association). EUWENA was founded in 2021, and aims to bring together European organisations to examine the challenges in the private networks for enterprise space.

Philippe Poggianti, Qualcomm, presented an overview of a new report with Nokia Bell Labs, "The business imperatives of 5G mmWave", which focuses on the critical question of 5G mmWave business attractiveness and its unique value propositions, explaining where to deploy it and the dramatic return on these investments now possible.

Thank you to our speakers and delegates for attending the January UK SPF Plenary session.
