UK SPF: Invitation to tender for a climate change focused study

Invitation to Tender (ITT) for a UK Spectrum Policy Forum (SPF) study focused on the role of radio spectrum policy in helping to combat climate.

Initial dates for your diary:

  • If you would like a call with the group who drafted the tender please let Jo O'Riordan know by 15:00 BST on Tuesday 6 July 2021
  • The deadline to submit a tender is 15:00 BST on Thursday 22 July 2021
  • We will endeavour to let bidders know the outcome of their tender by Thursday 29 July 2021
  • If all goes to plan the kick-off meeting with the project group will take place w/c 9 August.

Clarification - added on 12 July 2021:

Although mobile is an important focus area for this study, it is by no means intended to exclusively address mobile and other applications that use spectrum are also in scope and we welcome all proposals that address the impact of Spectrum Policy on climate change.

 

UK SPF's research is paid for via the sponsoring Steering Board members fee. The project group that will oversee the creation of this piece of work is drawn from the Steering Board. If you would like to join the Steering Board please get in-touch.

On 26 June 2021 RSPG published a public Consultation on the Draft RSPG Opinion on the role of radio spectrum policy to help combat climate change. The deadline to respond is 31 August 2021 and the responses probably won't be published until after RSPG's Plenary meeting on 24 November 2021.
