techUK miniseries: The technologies underpinning the metaverse

The metaverse will be built on a foundation of many technologies, including communications networks and data infrastructure, high-performance computing, cloud, and edge computing; and enabled by many of the emerging and transformative technologies being developed by techUK members, including distributed ledgers, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, and eventually quantum. techUK’s new miniseries technologies underpinning the metaverse will help set the foundations of how these technologies will underpin the metaverse, and how they will work together.

As discussion continues to navigate and understand what the metaverse is, and perhaps is not, the evolution of the technologies underpinning this discussion will allow the first versions of the metaverse to emerge. As such, techUK’s new miniseries technologies underpinning the metaverse will help set the foundations of how the metaverse will be built

In short, digestible webinars for on-the-go or listening at home, this series will help give the wider tech sector insight as to why – and how – the metaverse ecosystem has developed in the UK, and what this may mean for this businesses in years to come.
