Join the new techUK Fraud Working Group
The Fraud Working Group is a new cross-industry group for techUK members working together on broad themes around tackling online fraud in the UK.
With fraud now making up over 40% of crime in the UK and in light of the National Fraud Strategy and the Economic Crime Plan, it is vital for the tech sector to be proactive and engaged in tackling this issue. techUK have been working closely on this already through the Online Fraud Group, as well as increasing engagements with key players in law enforcement, financial services, regulators and government.
But to continue tackling this issue, techUK believes we need a de-siloed and collaborative cross sector ecosystem addressing each point in the fraud journey. This group brings together a range of members working across the fraud space, from platforms to cyber security solution providers to digital ID service providers and telecoms members interested in influencing or understanding the fraud landscape and how the technology industry is a key part of the solution.

Javahir joined techUK in June 2022, as Policy Manager for Digital Regulation.
Prior to joining techUK, she worked at the New Statesman, delivering cross sector policy research and events for their policy supplement. Javahir previously worked as part of the educational programme at the European Commission based in London, engaging with the UK's youth on the Brexit process.
Javahir holds a BA Politics and International Relations (Hons) from the University of Nottingham, an MA Human Rights from University College London, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from BPP University.
