Fostering the health & social care ecosystem

On 6th October techUK hosted the latest session in our Fostering the health & social care ecosystem series, designed to facilitate networking and partnerships between techUK members.

We welcomed 9 companies to the techUK offices, kicking off with a presentation from Tussell, a company offering market insights on Government contracts and spending. Gus Tugendhat, Founder of Tussell, focussed on the latest trends in healthcare IT spending, highlighting data on SMEs.

The following companies then gave pitches, focussing on the kind of partnerships they were looking for.

  • IBM, a global technology company providing healthcare strategy, global healthcare expertise, and technology solutions to NHS. IBM’s data and AI platforms are part of a broad ecosystem delivering innovation in partnership into NHS.
  • Roke Manor delivers preventative and predictive personalised care, though a combination of smart imaging, connected sensors and predictive data using AI techniques.
  • Hitachi Ventara, the digital arm of Hitachi Ltd, work across carbon therapy, medical devices, regenerative medicine, robotics/automation, digital engineering, and R&D. Hitachi Co-create and deploy new models of care delivery.
  • Big Health, a digital therapeutics company that builds and scales evidence-based digital treatments for mental health conditions, including Sleepio, the first-ever DTx to receive positive NICE guidance.
  • Voror Health Technologies, specialists in providing Health Data Platform as a service, collecting data at scale and cleansing and normalising this to SNOMED.  
  • GemaSecure, a specialist developer of highly secure voice and data technologies, including FPGA based hardware and software.
  • Informetis, using smart sensor and AI based algorithms to deliver innovative solutions supporting older adults to live independently using Non-Intrusive load Monitoring (NILM) based technology.
  • Athensys, specialists in AI, automation, informatics and heuristics, taking lengthy documentation and making it quick and simple to find information.
  • Healthgena, a Digital Heath Innovation Development Catalyst dedicated to improving healthcare products and services by driving the innovation of technology solutions to healthcare problems around the world.
