Call for contributions: techUK’s supply chain security campaign week

techUK is inviting contributions for its upcoming supply chain security campaign week, which will explore the challenges, innovations and best practices shaping secure and resilient supply chains. Members are encouraged to submit blogs and case studies for inclusion in the new Supply Chain Security Playbook, highlighting practical approaches to strengthening cyber and national security resilience.

Securing the UK’s supply chains is increasingly critical to strengthening cyber resilience, enhancing national security, and unlocking opportunities for the defence and high‑risk sectors. This May, techUK is excited to launch our supply chain security campaign week, taking place 18–22 May, in partnership with the Cyber Resilience, National Security and Defence programmes.

Across the week, we will explore the evolving challenges, innovations and leading practices shaping supply chain security. The campaign will feature member blogs, insights as well as the launch of techUK’s new Supply Chain Security Playbook featuring member case studies. The Playbook will showcase practical examples of how organisations are building resilient and secure supply chains across multiple sectors.

Each programme will be exploring different aspects of supply chain security:

Cyber resilience

  • Emerging technologies in supply chain security: enablers and risks
  • Driving accountability in supply chains: incentives, compliance and responsibility
  • Global perspectives on supply chain security: alignment, standards and best practices

Defence

  • What opportunities does AI present for Defence in tackling obsolescence and legacy within its digital supply chains? With the use of shadow IT already a recognised issue within Defence and wider government, how can we avoid future obsolescence and legacy problems associated with shadow AI use?
  • What does digital supply chain security mean for the next generation of the UK's platforms on land, air and sea as it looks to embrace autonomy?
  • What are the associated security concerns with Defence employees using unapproved LLMs?
