On 10 June 2021, Innovate UK EDGE and techUK are hosting the third in the Women in Innovation webinar series, Women in Innovation: Finance your tech.

Innovate UK EDGE is hosting a Women in Innovation series of webinars in recognition of the leading role women are playing within innovative growth SMEs. These webinars will feature all-female panelists who will share their insights, experience and tips to succeed in business.

Innovate UK EDGE Innovation & Growth Specialist and Scaleup Director, Emma Douglas-Beet, has been working with companies to help them grow for over 20 years. In this webinar, Emma will look at the funding landscape and how to ensure when looking for funding to grow your business, you have considered all avenues.

Nimmi Patel

Head of Skills, Talent and Diversity, techUK

Nimmi Patel is the Head of Skills, Talent and Diversity at techUK.

She works on all things skills, education, and future of work policy, focusing on upskilling and retraining. Nimmi is also an Advisory Board member of Digital Futures at Work Research Centre (digit). The Centre research aims to increase understanding of how digital technologies are changing work and the implications for employers, workers, job seekers and governments.

Prior to joining the team, she worked for the UK Labour Party and New Zealand Labour Party, and holds an MA in  Strategic Communications at King’s College London and BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Manchester.
