techUK briefing: Helping businesses prepare for the Digital Phone Switchover
10am – 1pm16 May 2023
London and Online
techUK, 10 St Bride Street, London, EC4A 4AD
Join techUK on May 16, to learn more about what the Digital Phone Switchover will mean for the business community. Hear from Communications Providers, network operators, Ofcom and Government to explain the background and impact of the program and learn from how businesses are navigating through the change as they share their experiences and tips.
The telephone network upgrade happening right now across the UK to move landline phone services onto digital networks presents both challenges and opportunities for the business community.
And yet awareness and preparation among businesses remain worryingly low. Recent research from ISP Zen shows that only 15% of SMEs and 20% of large businesses have a plan to migrate off of technology that will stop working in under 3 years.
Whilst telecommunication providers will be moving their customer base onto broadband lines with phone services provided over the top, other services such as door entry systems, EPoS, burglar alarms, lift lines and CCTV will also be impacted.
