Sam is the Programme Manager for Defence and Cyber Security at techUK.
Prior to joining techUK, Sam worked as an Account Executive for a small lobbying agency in Westminster where he briefed politicians in Westminster and Local Authorities on housing and energy issues and wrote policy briefs.
Sam holds a BA (Hons) Degree from the Department of War Studies at King’s College London where he focused on the implications of Cyber War and an MPhil in International Relations & Politics from the University of Cambridge.
Fred joined techUK in 2018 as the Head of Defence Programme. Before joining, he worked at ADS, the national trade association representing Aerospace, Defence, Security & Space companies in the UK.
At techUK, Fred is responsible for the organisation’s programme of market engagement and policy development across the Defence sector, working closely with various organisations within the Ministry of Defence, including: Head Office, Defence Digital, Dstl and the Front Line Commands. Fred works closely with many techUK member companies that have an interest in the sector, and is responsible for the activities of the programme's senior Defence & Security Board. Working closely with techUK's Defence & Cyber Programme Manager, Fred oversees a broad range of activities undertaken by the programme on behalf of techUK members.
Outside of work, Fred's interests include football (a Watford FC fan) and skiing.
