A scoping task running from October 21 to March 22 is now underway and is being delivered through a team consisting of NSC, Thales UK, Microsoft and Cordillera. An initial briefing was held on 29 Oct 21 via Teams, with an online workshop for Serapis Community of Practice (CoP) members on 16 Nov 21. Early work has shaped a number of initial thematic areas, which have evolved into a working understanding GAN capabilities, and underpinning technology areas. All of this is subject to further change and development and the team welcome views from the supply chain.

Dstl and the study team are keen to continue engagement with the supply chain to shape GAN and assist in defining topics for potential future research.

Workshop event

A face to face workshop is planned on 14 Dec 21 in the Whittle Theatre at Cody Technology Park, Ively Road, Farnborough to further develop the capability areas, shaping them in detail including the underlying technologies and sub-systems.

The event is subject to COVID restrictions, and will have a Maximum Capacity to ensure participants can effectively socially distance. Arrangements are subject to change due to COVID.

An agenda will be forwarded to confirmed attendees but the timings are likely to be 1000-1500.

Costs to attend the workshop will fall where they lie- e.g. no funding will be provided for attendees, however this is an excellent chance to engage with both Dstl and the industry study team to shape the future.
