Technologies including hydrogen, electrification, biomass and digitalisation will be critical to transitioning heavy industry. Whilst it is clear that the responsibility to decarbonise industry lies with both the public and private sectors and the funding will have to come from both, it is unclear who will act first.

The Industry Transition Summit serves as a platform for constructive conversations and dialogues around partnerships of heavy industry to decarbonise and be part of a sustainable future.

As part of Transition Month:

The transition to a green economy requires a systematic shift within, between and across sectors to drive a net zero revolution over the coming decade.

Throughout the month of May, the Transition Summits will explore the policy, technology and investment barriers that are preventing this systemic shift, diving into solutions that exist in three interconnected sectors: Transport, Industry and Energy. As part of our Roadmap to COP26, the Transition Month is designed to host important debates and outcomes orientated sessions calling for greater action before COP26 in November.
