Please note: The event date is now Monday July 7th

Join us alongside leaders from across the semiconductor sector—from policymakers to industry innovators—to shape what a future UK Semiconductor Centre could entail, and connect directly with key stakeholders driving its development.

In February 2025, we published a UK Plan for Chips- a new techUK blueprint, in which we outline a six point delivery plan to move from strategy to implementation. This included to:

  1. Retain our position as a global leader on chip design intellectual property

  1. Support applied R&D and manufacturing

  1. Incentivise investment into new areas of growth, including advanced designs, emerging technologies, and end user readiness.

  1. Promote innovation and support scale ups through access to markets and private capital

  1. Nurture the skills we need for the chips industry

  1. Strengthening the UK sector through global partnerships

A UK Semiconductor Centre, acting as an umbrella body with a focus on delivery and coordination, has the means to play a pivotal role in all of these.

Building on the momentum of our updated UK Plan for Chips, this session will unpack what decisive action looks like for turning strategy into implementation. We’ll explore the Centre’s role in representing and advocating for semiconductor scaleups, facilitating international partnerships, driving end user readiness, apportioning regional support and advising on skills requirements.
