Developing an inclusive agenda for digital futures at work

As tech becomes increasingly influential in our lives, we need to take further steps to ensure it works for everyone. Nimmi Patel, Policy Manager for Skills, Talent and Diversity at techUK, argues that diversity and inclusion are essential considerations for those that write our digital future as we can only thrive as long as all our voices are heard. In fact, digital exclusion is becoming a key issue in our society, as millions of people in the UK don't have the essential digital skills that have become vital in day-to-day work and social life. It is vital that everyone, regardless of their age, gender, ethnicity, background or skills, is given the opportunity to learn the digital skills they need to thrive in a digital workforce and society.
