Estonia is globally recognised as a pioneer in digital government—transforming public services through secure digital identity, seamless online services, and a commitment to transparency.
Estonia has already enabled 100% of services to be accessed online. These digital services, underpinned with their “e-ID” Digital Identity since 2002, have transformed the efficiency, cost-savings and trust of their public services. It is estimated that the Estonian government saves 2% of its economic output, and 1407 years of working time every year through this system.
As governments everywhere face pressure to do more with less, Estonia’s experience shows how smart digital infrastructure can build trust, unlock efficiency, and deliver more responsive services.
In this exclusive roundtable, techUK is delighted to host Estonia’s Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs, Minister Liisa Pakosta, for an open discussion with UK tech leaders on the future of digital public services.
This December, the UK-Estonia tech partnership will enter its third year. With a new government and evolving tech landscape, join us to explore what more you’d like to see in this partnership, as we also unpack how to deepen and expand digital collaboration.
