The rules governing UK public sector procurement are undergoing substantial change following Brexit, and once implemented, the new regime will have a significant impact on how Government and the wider public sector buy IT services.

The Government’s new Procurement Bill, published in May, plans a substantial re-write of the rules on how IT suppliers are selected for public sector contracts, including the procurement procedures and how framework agreements will work. Combined with new rules on evaluating social value in each procurement, and mandatory Net Zero carbon reduction commitments, the future procurement landscape looks very different.

techUK Legal Affairs Group and leading experts in public sector procurement and IT contracting will look at what the changes in public sector procurement of IT are likely to mean for IT suppliers, and how suppliers can prepare for these changes.
