techUK welcomes five new Board Directors

On 19 May 2021, techUK’s Main Board approved the appointment of five new Directors from Accenture, Adobe, HPE, Huawei and Zoom, along with 11 re-appointments.  

Each year, the techUK Membership votes on Elected Director positions, nominations for which are open to all Member companies. With four available places in 2021, the voting resulted in the appointment of three new Directors: Paul Robson, President, International of Adobe; Sue Preston, Vice President & General Manager of HPE Pointnext Services, Hewlett Packard Enterprise; and Charlotte Holloway, Government Relations Director, UK & Ireland for Zoom Video Communications, as well as the re-appointment of Simon Hansford, Co-founder & CEO of UKCloud.

The Board also considered Selected Director positions, confirming the new appointments of Shaheen Sayed, Senior Managing Director for Technology, UK & Ireland for Accenture, and Joey Pan, Director of Industry and Public Affairs for Huawei Technologies UK. Nine existing Directors were re-appointed in their existing roles, while Zahra Bahrololoumi was re-appointed in her new role as CEO, UK & Ireland for Salesforce.

As the trade association for tech, techUK’s purpose is to champion members and their technologies and prepare and empower the UK for what comes next. The Main Board oversees the company’s work, which includes improving the environment in which Members to business, promoting members’ interests, and acting as a focal point for government relationships and policy matters.
