Open Finance and Financial Inclusion Campaign Week Announcement
YOUR CHANCE TO CONTRIBUTE – BLOG ENTRIES ARE OPEN
Tuesday 6 April to Friday 9 April
techUK’s Financial Services Programme will be holding a campaign week ahead of the ‘Open Finance and Inclusion Summit’ taking place online on Tuesday 20 April. You can find out more and register for the summit here.
As part of the campaign week we will be promoting members’ thought leadership pieces and blogs.
Blog entries
Entries should not be longer than 500 words. Please contact us prior to drafting your entry to confirm and agree the topics you would like to cover.
Theme & topics
The campaign week will be focussed on the opportunities for the UK to expand the open banking principles to the whole financial services sector and to the wider economy as well as financial inclusion. Blogs entries will have to fit within these two themes.
Topics covered by blog entries could include (list non exhaustive):
- The future of Open Banking
- Open Finance: regulatory framework and use cases
- Open data ecosystem and economy
- Data mobility
- Digital and financial inclusion
- Regulation in the Open Data Economy

Andy Thornley
Andy joined techUK in August 2022 as Head of Programme – Financial Services. His role includes leading techUK’s work in building a greater understanding of the 'technological art of the possible' in order to apply it to the reform and evolution of financial systems.
Before joining techUK, Andy worked for a number of other bodies in the financial services sector, including the British Insurance Brokers’ Association, where in addition to owning policy and public affairs, he was also responsible for fostering InsurTech in the sector.
Andy has a degree in Human Biology and holds a Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII) qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute. Outside of work, Andy is an avid cyclist and races competitively both on the road as well as the velodrome.- Email:
