Launch of techUK's AI Adoption Working Group

Join techUK's new AI Adoption Working Group if you are interested in showcasing the applications of AI and want to share your thoughts on how adoption can be more widespread

The use of AI is increasing at an unprecedented speed and the economic benefits of its application has been well cited in literature. It is estimated that global GDP will be up to 14% higher in 2030, as a result of accelerated AI adoption. Despite this, AI is still an emerging technology with only 27% of organisations actively using its technology in one or more of its processes with a multiplicity of barriers stifling further progression.

techUK is launching a new working group to develop a report which will showcase the diversity of AI uses, their impact and benefits, particularly amongst decision-makers in government. The report will also highlight industry perspectives on the main barriers to further AI adoption, and recommendations for how to overcome these. The report will be published on the techUK website in Q1 2023 and the occasion will be marked with a launch event, bringing together speakers from industry, policy and civil society.

By participating in the working group, you will have a key role in setting the strategic direction of the report. There are two ways that you can get involved:

  1. Participate in discussions on barriers to wider AI adoption and brainstorm recommendations to overcome these challenges

  1. Provide use cases from your organisation to include in the report to highlight the diverse practical applications of AI and their benefits.
