Get involved in techUK’s Social Value Campaign Week #techUKSocialValueWeek
We are delighted to announce that on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 February techUK’s Central Government Programme will be running our first Social Value Week. The week will focus on how technology companies are supporting social value initiatives and making positive contributions to communities across the UK.
Social value has been a requirement in public sector procurement since 2013, and a determinant of public procurement outcomes since 2020. We will seek to highlight how techUK members have used the policy in central government contracts to deliver meaningful outcomes for communities and the environment.
How to get involved:
Each day will be dedicated to the social value Menu Award Criteria. We want to hear from members and stakeholders through blogs and case studies where these policy themes and outcomes have been successfully applied through central government contracts and how.
The days and their themes are listed below.
Monday 26 February
Tackling Economic Inequality - Create new businesses, jobs and skills, and increase supply chain resilience and capacity.
Fighting Climate Change - Effective stewardship of the environment.
Tuesday 27 February
Equal Opportunity - Reduce the disability employment gap and tackle workforce inequality.
Wellbeing - Improve health and wellbeing and improve community integration.
What we require:
We are asking for members and stakeholders to submit guest blogs or vlogs sharing insights, thought leadership on their chosen theme.
