Delivering green finance – next steps!

Today marks the end of our #TechGreenFinance campaign week. Many thanks to all members who contributed with insightful blogs covering a variety of topics from reporting, investment, payments, data and technology to driving the electric revolution.

As part of the campaign, we also hosted an engaging event on delivering green finance with industry experts and policy makers. We were delighted to be joined by Lord Holmes of Richmond MBE who delivered a speech on the work undertaken within Parliament, which also helped attendees to take a step back and understand more acutely the bigger picture.

A number of historic climate commitments from private companies covering $130 trillion of financial assets were made at COP26, alongside the ambitious announcement from the Chancellor setting out the UK's plans to become the world's first net zero aligned financial centre.

techUK will develop more activities in the new year on green finance in order to ensure the United Kingdom delivers on its ambition, with the right policy framework and investment in technology. Get in touch to get involved and shape our activities and positioning.
