Defence Digital and techUK publish joint list of signatories to collaboration Code of Practice

Following the recent launch of a new Code of Practice for collaboration, techUK and Defence Digital are delighted to share a joint list of MOD and industry signatories to the code.

At the end of last year, techUK's Defence Commercial Business Forum (DCBF), in partnership with the commercial senior leadership team in Defence Digital, published a new Code of Practice to improve collaboration between the MOD and its suppliers. The Code aims to improve business relationships and enhance collaboration between the department and its suppliers.

The Code addresses some of the key issues which have caused friction in the past when dealings between industry and the department were more traditional and distant; and aims to develop closer working between all parties through collaboration rather than adversarial engagement. Both industry and the MOD agree that by adopting a more transparent process of sharing of information earlier, the conduct of business should become more effective and efficient.

At present, there are 36 industry signatories to the Code, representing companies of all sizes from across the MOD’s supply chain. The list of signatories will be continually updated, and any organisation working with the MOD is encouraged to sign up to the Code. If your organisation would like to be added to the list of signatories, please contact techUK’s Head of Defence Programme Fred Sugden at: [email protected]

Both Defence Digital and techUK believe the Code can make a real difference to the conduct of business, and it is hoped it will provide a useful tool for all parties involved in commercial discussions going forward.
