Bright Network’s Internship Experience UK
techUK is delighted to be supporting Bright Network's Internship Experience UK – the national effort to boost employability and upskill students and recent graduates this summer.
By being part of the three-day virtual internship experiences across six sectors, students will meet world leading employers, discover opportunities and develop core career skills.
Employers involved include techUK members Accenture, Amazon, EY, Vodafone, PwC, and more.
There is no doubt that these are particularly challenging times and with the limited career opportunities currently available, there has been a drop in confidence amongst the student community.
- 29% of students have had an internship or graduate role offer either withdrawn or postponed due to COVID-19.
- 62% of students are not confident about securing a role after university.
- 79% of students want to complete a remote internship, but most don’t know where to start.
The programme is open to current students over 16 years old (at school, college or university) and graduates. The Internships are completely free—they are designed to provide access to opportunity during this period of uncertainty, regardless of circumstance and so have not been monetised.
With this platform, Bright Network aims to support students’ career discovery, boost their experience and give them an opportunity to build networks. These are all things which are more essential than ever during this time.
If we can give students the tools to be proactive and use this time wisely, they will come out the other side stronger, better and more resilient than ever. Find out more and get involved.
