World Quantum Day 2023
World Quantum Day is an international initiative that invites all businesses, scientists, engineers, educators, communicators, entrepreneurs, technologists and more to showcase the latest advancements in quantum technologies and generate interest in quantum-based ambitions.
Quantum has been identified as a key emerging and transformative technology that will have an impact on the UK's long term digital and economic future - underpinned by the recent Quantum Strategy and additional £2.5 billion in funding announced by UK Government this March. In the coming years, Quantum will have the potential to enable smart cities, revolutionise healthcare systems and drive innovation in key industries. To prepare for this future, techUK has been working with the wider technology sector to secure the UK's quantum future and plan for success.
As the UK's technology trade association, techUK has focused on what quantum will mean for the UK's society and economy - and how we achieve this potential - for world quantum day. You can find out more below!
